In 93 observational studies, it was found that about two-thirds of individuals had fewer depression symptoms (Dein, 2010). It makes sense that being religious has positive benefits to mental health because you believe in God and seek comfort through him. Like in Isaiah 41:10 NIV “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
